The commissioning of the Purified water generation system includes Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT). Commissioning requires well-planned, documented and project management and is a method for start-up and handover of equipment systems to the end user. The purpose of debugging is to ensure that the safety performance and functional performance of equipment and systems can meet the design requirements and user expectations. Validation activities provide documented records, reviewed by the quality department, that the Purified water generation system received by the user can continue to produce and distribute water of a certain standard quality.
Approaches to FAT, SAT, commissioning and IQ/OQ/PQ throughout the project should be well planned and refer to the information accumulated in FAT and SAT. The quality department should be involved in the establishment of the commissioning and validation plan. The design of the purified water system is derived from the end user's requirements for average water consumption and instantaneous maximum water consumption and water quality. Sampling results for preparation and distribution systems should meet design or specification requirements. The Commissioning and Validation Plan should develop a sampling plan to determine if the URS is met, water quality, and to support "know the process".
