WFI module also called WFI Pipeline distribution systems should be constructed to allow for the continuous circulation of water in the pipes and to be regularly cleaned and disinfected. A continuously cycling system tends to maintain normal operation.
The effluent from the pump should be designed to be "turbulent" to prevent biofilm formation. The piping of the distribution system should be installed with sufficient slope and have drain points so that the system can be completely drained if necessary. The distribution and discharge system of the water cycle should avoid low flow rates. The diaphragm valve has the characteristics that it is easy to remove dissolved impurities in the valve body and the microorganisms are not easy to reproduce.
The requirements for the pipeline distribution system are:
①The inner wall of 316L stainless steel pipe is electropolished for passivation treatment;
②The pipeline is welded by hot melt argon arc welding, or is connected in sections by sanitary chuck;
③The valve adopts stainless steel polytetraethylene diaphragm valve, connected with sanitary chuck;
④The pipeline has a certain inclination, which is convenient to remove the stored water;
⑤ The pipelines are arranged in circulation, and the return water flows into the storage tank. The connection method in parallel or in series can be adopted, and the series connection method is better. The length of the "blind pipe" section at the point of use valve shall not be greater than 6 times the pipe diameter for the heating system and 4 times the pipe diameter for the cooling system.
⑥The pipeline is sterilized with clean steam, and the sterilization temperature is 121℃.
